Pell City's 94.9 The River will be moving to 94.1 and becoming 94.1 The River as of tomorrow morning. Here is a quote from their Facebook page.

94.9 FM The River is moving to 94.1 FM! You've asked, now we're delivering. As of Wednesday morning, 94.1 FM will increase The River's coverage area with a clear signal in all of St. Clair County. 94.1 FM The River is the only commercial FM radio station in St. Clair County and we focus on what is going on in your backyard. 94.1 FM The River will still have the same great local morning show (the only one in St. Clair County), weather updates from FOX6 Chief Meteorologist J.P. Dice twice an hour and we will continue to play the hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and today. Make sure you like our Facebook page for local breaking news, all our updates and opportunities for great giveaways.

By the way is this move legal?

Yes, it's legal. I read about the move to 94.1 a few days ago on the FCC website. It was just an application at that time, however. It appears they have been granted a CP for the move.

And once the CP is in a station's hot little hands, they can flip the switch immediately if they already built out the facility. They were on 94.9 from Bald Rock once before, so it was probably just a quick frequency change on the transmitter to get things running on the new frequency.

Here is another update in the area if you would like it:

Love Commandment Ministries 93.3 now has the call letters WLVC-LP, these do not pertain to the church In Birmingham's 93.3.

Also you should update your history on two stations:

1. WJGR-LP 97.1 Mobile to be " The Prowl " http://theprowlusa.wix.com/home

2. W246BS 97.1 which translates WBCF, Here is the updated history on this frequency, The station ( WBCF) acquired FM Translator W246BS on 97.3 they moved this translator to 97.1 about a year later due to interference from WLLX and WEZZ.

One more Thing, Equality Broadcasting Network's 98.3 Is Not Listed Under Montgomery LPFM and Translators, you should correct this. I hope this can be of help to you.

Tom. A have a few more updates for you if you would like them:

Corrections/more info on stations:

WJGR-LP 97.1 Mobile to be " The Prowl" at http://theprowlusa.wix.com/home
WBCF 1240 Florence: You history isn't correct here is the correct history, In September 2009 The station acquired an FM Translator on 97.3 FM, About One Year Later This Translator Was Moved To The current Frequency Of 97.1 FM with the calls W246BS Due to interference from WLLX from the north, and WWMS and WEZZ from the south.

Also, Love commandment Ministries 93.3 In Birmingham has the new call letters of WLVC-LP, these do not apply to the Church In Birmingham's 93.3.

I'll get that updated as soon as I get the chance. That Prowl website is completely blank! I think eventually I'm gonna have to separate those two Birmingham church owned LPFMs on 93.3, it's going to be too much hassle to group them together even if they do share a transmitter site.

BTW, you (and anyone else) can always send me updates direct. My email is webmaster (at) almediapage (dot) info. I check it more often than I visit these forums.
