Patriots fever grips Hub !

Is this the highest a sports station has been ?

Country fever doesn't grip hub.
At least for now.

The Bull is bulls***.
Bring back Evolution !

WUMB solid as ever.
Mount Everest would be easier to move.
Go WUMB with whatever you think your doing.

A 12 combined (12.3 if you throw in the all-birdfeed WEEI-AM) might be the best showing for sports as a format in one ratings book anywhere!

And more snark bordering on anger directed at WUMB. Why? It obviously has a loyal, if small, bunch of listeners who are more than willing to donate to keep their favorite niche musical genres on the Boston airwaves. What annoys people so much about that? Is it because WUMB is a college station that doesn't put students on the air? Put kids on the air "playing radio" while subjecting others to their favorite current bands, a la WMFO or WZBC, or even worse, blathering on about the music on the current playlist -- which they care and know nothing about -- and watch the donations dry up. WERS works because it straitjackets its student talent into a "That was (band) with (song). Now here's (another band) with (another song) on 88.9 WERS" presentation that prepares them for what jocks on music stations do today: play the music and read the promos and get out of the way because the audience in the target demo doesn't care about your personality.

WRKO and WEEI-FM : Entercom Properties falling like a rock. Guess there are not enough people off their meds to keep RKO a float.

why the shot at country? its obvious that the patriots were in control this month. once the next book comes out the think the bull will rise in the ratings.

WUMB/U. Mass Boston is now developing a streaming online all-student station.

Looks like they're up and running, albeit on autopilot. The "listen now" link leads to a Live365 stream. Strange mix of EDM, modern rock, oldies (most well-known, but Young-Holt's "Wack Wack" got a spin not long ago) and a little bit of everything else. Right now, "Neogenesis" from a band called Enslaved is playing. According to the playlist, the song was played last less than seven hours ago, so maybe this is only a test.

I guss that's why both had better ratings in January than in the previous monthly. Nice to see that EDS is still alive and well in the new year.

EEI-FM is trending upward since November, but nice try Omnibus.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Kiss 108... the once perennial beauty contest winner is now the 5th station in the 6+ numbers.

Can't be. iHateCC's alleged intent with all that coverage area reconfiguration was to beef up The Bull so as to protect PI$$ 108. I feel terrible.

Their ratings have not been good since the launch. You really think the patriots had that much effect on a country station? doubtful. Bad air personality decisions and too tight of a playlist shot the station down quick. No commercials gave it a bit of an inflated boost.

I understand that, but lets just see what happens when more people can hear them before we put the nail in the coffin so to speak.
