Pirate Radio Station in Mathis Texas

While driving through Mathis on my way to San Antonio I was scanning the dial and came across 95.3 FM They are calling the station Truth Radio 95.3 FM and they are using the call letters KCDO. I looked up the calls on the FCC's website and a TV station in Aurora, Colorado comes back with those calls. I did a Google search and Truth Radio is run by a church there in Mathis called Casa De Oracion hence the KCDO call letters.

They even blatantly post on Facebook "Hey everyone! coming at you from the studio at Casa De Oracion Church with Truth Radio 95.3 FM" Why is it every time a pirate station pops up it's a Spanish religious group behind it? smh

There's another Spanish church in Weslaco, TX that also has a pirate radio station. I'll make another post about that station as well.

I see what you're doing here, Island. ;)

LOL not every time. I've heard one or two Spanish Christian pirates but others are talk, music, anything. Usually every large city has at least one, and with the increasing availability of cheap FM transmitters on the Internet, they'll only get more popular.
