Jim Scott Retiring at 700 WLW?

He has a major announcement tomorrow morning, and that Mike McConnell is set to replace him. I would think He'd be better middays than morning drive with its constant breaks for weather and traffic. Anyway it's an end of an era for WLW.

I'm glad Mike McConnell will have a full time gig again (apparently), but the full service elements won't give him much of a chance to get into a topic or do the show he used to do. Nonetheless, hope all goes well and congratulations to Jim Scott for a long career

And Scott Sloan can breathe a little easier knowing that McConnell won't be getting HIS shift! Morning radio in Cincy without Jim Scott. That will curdle some folks milk! Hope McConnell knocks it out of the park. Congrats to Jim Scott for an incredible run. A true radio legend.

Jim Scott must be 110 yrs old. I remember him on WSAI when I was either a kid or a very young adult. Anyone know how long he has been on Cincinnati radio?

47 years according to one of the articles in this thread. I read on Daryl Park's blog that he came from Buffalo too.
