WMGY Is Changing Hands

That's right everyone. Long time SG station, in the Gump, has a new owner. It looks like Mr. Terry L. Barber will be the owner of this radio station. Heard he was let go from Bluewater. Hope his new radio broadcast will have success and do very well for him. I still love and respect you sir. Wish you all the best. Hope to get my new LPFM up and running soon.

P.S. If you want to help me get on, Mr. Terry, contact me. Look forward to hearing from you.

let go? i heard it was an mutual split and he may retain some partnership stake.

either way, i wish T-Bar the best of luck, very interested to see what he does with this station.

Earlier friday afternoon, around 5-ish, i was able to tune in, they were simulcasting 800am , still with the southern gospel format, quality wasn't that great, but i'm sure they were just testing it.

will be interesting to see if they keep the southern gospel format or if they switch to something new.

personally, i would stay with Southern Gospel as it would be perfect fit for those who are not interested in Way, K-love or The River.

96.5 FM was indeed doing WMGY today. Heard a mix of Black oriented Gospel songs and Preachers. The sound quality was great. 95.5 FM was off today. Does anyone know what's going on with that translator? This is the relay for WRBZ 1250 AM Wetumpka.

Possibly maintenance so that both translators don't step all over each other?

It's been quite around here since WMGY popped up on the Fm dial, I wonder of terry barber will keep the southern gospel format or flip it?

Just checked out their live stream. WMGY is still doing SG. ...And yes, I've been able to pick up the 96.5 relay broadcast, here in Selma. It comes in almost like a local. Mr. Terry's new broadcast is sounding very impressive. Hope it'll have major success.

All is good

Yes plans are to keep WMGY Southern Gospel. Have been getting really good feedback after putting in on the FM.
Thanks for the kind words.

Terry
