Metropolitan Opera broadcaster Margaret Juntwait on leave?...

Mrs. Juntwait is much to old to be having a child.

Mrs. Juntwait is much to old to be having a child.

It does happen...My mother was in her middle 40's when she had me, my dad in his 50's. Maybe it was an "oopsie".

Dad (not granddad) would tell me stories of WWII.

Sad,
Ms. Juntwait has been APMG's Met Opera announcer as well as SiriusXM's Met Opera channel announcer for several years.
She will be missed.

The Associated Press story on her death noted that she'd been in the studio at Sirius XM just a couple of weeks ago, voicetracking intros and outros to future Met performances. As her voice is on all the archived operas the channel plays (even the vintage ones originally hosted by Milton Cross, who had a truly legendary voice), Sirius XM listeners may not realize she is no longer with us for quite some time.
