1380 KRCM apparently fully powered again

While most will file this with the who cares department, it sounds like Daij Media has fired up ol' 1380 again. I've got a signal from Radio Aleluya with music @ 10:45 this morning. Solid signal, a crackle here and there, but very solid.

In case you haven't caught it yet, MediaFrog.

Further listening reveals it is in simulcast with KMIC, ahead of 1590 by about 5 seconds. No ID @ TOH for either station...shame, shame...

KRCM is broadcasting nothing but dead air at a 1pm check Sunday 3/15. Nulling on a portable radio shows they are on the Waller County site. Signal still seems much less than 22kw, which would blast in at my location.

KRCM has been back running music for a couple of weeks now, simulcasting one or more of the other DAIJ stations, but not at full power.

Looks like the DAIJ engineer still has a lot of work to do.

Fred Morton, who owned KRCM for a short while while it was in Beaumont, was the DoE for DAIJ, etc but he has moved back to OK after buying a station up there AFAIK...Dont know who is handling it now

The KRCM transmitter is still on and transmitting dead air just before 11pm 3/15. The directional pattern of the Waller County site dumps RF towards the Gulf, so probably not bothering anyone, but the open carrier has been on at various earlier checks today.

If you look at the last thing they filed.... scroll down to the engineer's certification.... you will see that its my good friend pal and buddy - Bob Morrow. Or rather Don Werlinger.....
