STREETZ 94.5 Expands, Again!

STREETZ 94.5 is officially now heard in south metro along the I-85 corridor towards Columbus. WFDR-FM Woodbury formerly MOUNTAIN COUNTRY 94.5 is now STREETZ 94.5. Steve Hegewood has truly turned STREETZ into a powerhouse of 3 signals to compete with HOT 107.9 and V103

Usually when such an arrangement is implemented, there's a midpoint where the 2 signals are fighting each other. There's a new technology that's supposed to solve that, but it's not perfected. Supposedly 107.1 uses it.

I haven't had a chance to check out the 94.5 signals north and south of town. If there is no overlapping I'd say kudos to Hegwood. WFDR does have a construction permit to move 94.5 south of Woodbury, GA. That would push STREETZ 94.5 into Columbus metro.

The Atlanta translator was interfering with both WFDR and WIPK full power stations on 94.5 so this is another offensive move to protect the Atlanta signal.

Now they are in a fight with WCON on their 99.3 translator. Wonder if they will try to buy WCON. It's got 100,000 watts permit.
