Say goodbye to V-103's 23-year-old For Sisters Only event

HOT 107.9 has always had the biggest Urban radio event, Birthday Bash (I call it the Summer Jam of the South), which has gotten bigger over the years. This year, HOT is celebrating 20 years on the air with 3 concerts June 18th through the 20th. I never understood why V103, being #1 and all, never threw a big annual concert.

Honestly, a big annual concert really isn't beneficial and monetarily efficient in this day and age. Additionally, V-103 is always involved in community events, and usually sponsoring, promoting, and broadcasting live at major music & cultural festivals like the Sweet Auburn Springfest, Funkfest, and most of the major concerts and festivals at Wolf Creek Amphitheater throughout the year. FSO was going down years ago when it went from 2-days to 1 day. Radio One cluster and Kiss 104.1 seems to have more a visibility problem because they seem only be able to do one or two events per year.
