iHeart competing with itself

Is it just me or has Hot 104.5 shifted their playlist away from "gold" and moved more in line with Mix, Effectively competing with themselves? SA seems way to CHR crowded these days. With those two, KTFM, and The Beat I'm surprised there is enough audience to go around. I guess iHeart can afford to waste a signal for a while, but I can't see it lasting forever. Is there another flip coming?

I hope so. SA doesn't need 4 CHR stations, not to mention Q101.9 and Magic 105.3 leaning more adult CHR. I wouldn't be surprised if KZEP goes back to 104.5.

What if 104.5 flips to alternative provided 103.3 is doing good?? Maybe they see that and steal 103.3's thunder? Or what if 103.3 is moved to 94.1 where there is a regular strong signal??

When Hot was launched, I gave up seeing an "Alt" format from iHeart in San Antonio. It's still too early to see where App is standing in terms of how well they are doing, despite the rimshot signal (although I know reviews have been generally favorable on their Facebook).

As much as I want to see "Alt 104.5," I highly doubt that will happen. And App is just going have to settle on 103.3.

Well do you think in time that they could possibly strengthen the signal on 103.3 to be normal?? I think once that happens, it could really take off..

No chance because of 102.7 Jack, and Bob 103.5 in the Austin area (licensed in San Marcos with the signal reaching as far south as the NE part of San Antonio) are both 100,000 watt stations. Not to mention KHHL 103.1 in Karnes City.
