93-3 San Antonio goes back to K-Buc

The 93-3 SA translator has gone back to a K-Buc 92.5 simulcast. I heard the translator playing it as well as announcing the two signals.
K-Zep, however, apparently hasn't fully died. It's still rockin' on KZEP-HD2, and K-Buc's audio is now KZEP-HD3 to feed 93.3 FM.
KKYX, meanwhile, has had some vast processing improvements in the audio of it's translator at 104.9. That thing would be near the top of my clean stations list, if I had one. Glad to see another station improving it's audio!

Seeing their website, the station did drop the 93.3 in their name and just simply call themselves "KZEP." Wonder how long they, or even Hot, will officially throw in the towel. Not even Hot is hot anymore. Slowly but surely, Yo 95.1 is nearly neck-to-neck with them.

Well I think that perhaps IHM is giving a shot at KKYX's translator again? Could it's audio improvement or the fact the sale hasn't been acted upon by the FCC be a factor? Remember it's still owned by KHCB's group out of Houston and CC (now IHM) had their differences against it a couple years back.

This is how K-Buc 93-3 sounds, I did add in some special effects but the excessive distortion to the music isn't me. http://sndup.net/22js

They need new equipment.

It now sounds much better, on par with other stations. I guess they finally either got new equipment, or fixed the current stuff.
