airchecks and the PPM

Ok mods, feel free to move this if you disagree with where I've placed it, I couldn't think of where else to put this. My question is this, if you're listening to an aircheck of a station and you're carrying a PPM, wouldn't the PPM detect you're listening to that station and give them credit even when you weren't listening live? How would you deal with that as a station? Granted this probably isn't a big problem, but I was just wondering.

Nielsen has edit rules that kick out older data, so any detection of a PPM code later on would have no effect.

The PPM "tag" or watermark not only identifies the station, but includes a time and date stamp. That allows older data to be ignored.
