Larry elder has found the answer starts there in august

Thats what brian said on the air today. Ben was out larry was filling in for him.

I think a smart move. Gives them another local daily show

Now they just need to find room for al rantel and mr kabc and the answer will be "where former kabc talk show hosts go"

K M beat me to it by five minutes while I was vainly trying to figure out who Brian and Joe were!

Yes, it will be on delay - location is Salem's KRLA 870.

The CRN 1 website already has a page about Larry

Interestingly CRN 1 has an eclectic group of hosts - including Dick Sinclair's Polka Party Saturday evening with a re-run in the wee hours of Sunday morning and another Los Angeles icon whom I'd almost forgotten: Chuck Wilder!

Interesting move. Often don't agree with Larry, but find him consistently provocative...so, I'm looking forward to listening to him in the 10:00 to 11:00 hour (will continue to listen to Peter Tilden until 10:00).

Good move. It's nice to have a local show on KRLA besides AM Drive. Now there are three choices for local radio in LA at night, KRLA,KABC and KFI. Market#1 New York runs syndicated fare on WABC,WOR and WNYM. With the exception of the 5PM hour on WABC, all three run syndicated shows in PM drive,as well.

Larry Elder does a noon-to-3 podcast at larryelder.com and he is heard on CRN Channel 1 from noon to 2. I assume the CRN program is a simulcast of the podcast, so why does CRN not carry that third hour?

Part of the answer comes from the esteemed Mr. Elder misusing the term "podcast" to describe his live stream. Using the generally-accepted definition of the word, the podcasts are recordings and not live.

As for the key question, I would suggest that perhaps he only contracted with CRN for two hours and left the third hour as exclusive content for paying subscribers at his website.

Why don't you ask him yourself? http://www.larryelder.com/contactus

On June 2, when CRN began carrying Elder's 3-to-6 pm online program, they simulcast the entire three hours. When Elder moved the program to the noon-to-3 hours, CRN quit simulcasting that third hour. And now KRLA will also carry only the first two hours. Maybe Larry should change his catchphrase: "You've just heard...the word. But only two thirds of it."

Sounds like a decision by the network to me.

Here's CRN's business office phone number: 818.352.7152 ... why don't you call Mike Horn and ask him.
