It's a pretty big get for Antenna TV...I saw advertisements for it a couple of times today, thinking it was for "Carson's Comedy Classics" instead of full Tonight Show episodes.

You mean they're actually going to show something new, instead of just playing musical chairs with the same shows they've pretty much been running since starting four years ago?

I wonder if they will show any of the Jay Leno, David Brener and Joan Rivers episodes that were taped when johnny was off or on vacation. I also remember Letterman, Burt Reynolds and even Kermit the Frog sitting in for Johnny.

who owns the guest hosted episodes?

...Carson Productions owns all the 1972-1992 Tonight Shows, regardless of whether Johnny or a pinch-hitter was at the desk that night. I kinda doubt they'll go into the pinch-hitter episodes with any regularity. What Carson Productions doesn't have is the broadcast rights to the title The Tonight Show, so new opening credit sequences will be created...

According to Antenna TV's original announcement the program was going to be called "Johnny Carson".

I seem to remember that The Tonight show was 90 minutes in the 70's and part of the 80's, so will it be that length on Antenna TV or will it be cut?

The 90-minute episodes will air in full on weekends at 10pm ET, while the 60-minute shows will air weeknights at 11pm ET. If anything gets the cut from the shows are probably certain musical performances.
