Yep here it is, i was surprised they released it on a Saturday, updated Aug 29th

Basically everything remained unchanged except KROQ which is down a little. Take a look.

Here is the Riverside -San Bernardino Market Rankings.

KSGN is down overall to 1.4 it doesn't seem like they recovered like they normally do after Christmas Season, in april 2015 they were at a 2 share overall, so did they go to KOLA or K-LOVE?
Is there any way to tell?

Thanks :)

Sidenote: normally KSGN averages between a 3 share overall and 4 share this time of year, so this is definitely a slide, not good.

I'm confused.

The July numbers were released on August 3. But some markets, L.A. included, were updated Saturday (at least on Radio-Online) and show a second July '15 column. Can anybody tell me what that's about?

Its easy Hagerty

If 5 Mondays fall in a given month it bumps
The release date up a week,

For example last year it was normally the second Monday in the month during 2014,
Then earlier this year it got bumpd up to the first Monday of the month, now it got bumped up again. Not sure why they released it Saturday but they did.

So the June numbers are from August 3rd,
The July numbers are from August 29th.
If im wrong please correct me.

August numbers do not release until tomorrow. There is nothing available at the Nielsen client download site.

I think it is some kind of mistake. Looking at the weeklies and meter counts, the numbers do not look like what we would expect for LA for August. But we will know for sure tomorrow at noon.

Your right David,
I went back and looked at the last release date that was posted, its supposed to be tomorrow.

If Frank Berry wants to delete my post he can. Or we can wait tomorrow to see if it was just released early by mistake.

Given that there are side-by-side columns, both saying "Jul 15", one from August 3 and one from yesterday, that the markets affected are usually not released on the same day (Sacramento is usually Thursday), and that it only appears on Radio-Online, I think the easy answer, 34james, is that the website goofed, not that the previous numbers were June and the new ones July.

Somehow Radio-Online duped people into thinking that new ratings had been released when the data for July 2015 that is currently seen on Radio-Online had been previously released on Mon. 8/3/2015.
Possibly Radio-Online had some sort of internal glitch and had the need to update their ratings pages even though there's no data to be updated.
They updated their "update date" for a multitude of markets to 8/29/15, whether they be PPM markets or diary with none of them having any new data released.

Looking further down the L.A. forum page on this site one would have found my original thread from Mon. 8/3/15 that had both the L.A. + Riverside-San Bernardino July 2015 ratings info -
link to thread: http://www.radiodiscussions.com/sho...erside-San-Bernardino-Radio-Ratings-July-2015

Also see the June 2015 L.A. + Riverside-San Bernardino ratings thread from Tue. 7/7/15, the day that data was released -
link to thread: http://www.radiodiscussions.com/showthread.php?687879-KRTH-tops-Nielsen-Audio-ratings-for-June

It's always a good idea to check other websites that carry ratings data (such as AllAccess.com + ******************; both require free subscription memberships)
to see if their sites have also been similarly updated. There were none in this case.
Nielsen Audio also has ratings info on their site (similarly they require you to fill out a form upon each viewing to see the info for free) -
page link: http://www.arbitron.com/home/ratings.htm -
Unfortunately, Nielsen Audio doesn't publish the data on their site until about 24-36 hours after all the trade sites have the data starting at 2 PM PT on the actual data release date.

Plus, unless it was a highly unusual situation (such as when it was possible that some L.A. + Riverside-San Bernardino ratings might have had to have been updated and reissued several months ago due to problems with a couple of Nielsen Audio panelists that might have caused ratings distortion) or a delay due to a holiday, it is highly unlikely that Nielsen Audio would release data on a Saturday. If there had been any type of re-release, it would have publicized on radio trade websites ahead of time and would have likely had a release date similar to the regular weekly and monthly reports which are released between Monday + Friday.

The June 2015 (May-21-June 17) data was released on Tue. 7/7/15 (one day later than usual due to Independence Day holiday), not on Mon. 8/3/15.
The July 2015 (June 18-July 15) data was released on Mon. 8/3/15, not on Sat. 8/29/15.
The August 2015 (July 16-August 12) L.A. + Riverside-San Bernardino ratings will be released on Monday 8/31/2015.

Please check the links below to the PPM data release schedules which are planned months (maybe years) in advance.

Nielsen Audio Data Delivery Schedule link: http://www.arbitron.com/home/delivsched.asp
Nielsen Audio Radio Survey Schedule link: http://www.arbitron.com/downloads/Survey_Schedule.pdf
Nielsen Audio home page link: http://www.nielsen.com/us/en/solutions/capabilities/audio.html

All "PPM monthly" reports span a 4-week period. There is no such thing as a "bump-up" when a calendar month happens to contain 5 Mondays.
There is also no stipulation that data be released during a particular week of the calendar month.

Unless there are one or more holidays previous to the data release date that would delay the issue of a report,
"PPM monthly" reports for L.A. + Riverside-San Bernardino are normally issued 19 days after the end of a monthly survey period.
That day could fall anywhere within a particular calendar month.

However, it *is* true that since there will eventually be a future year where a particular Nielsen Audio "PPM month" description (likely December)
will not include any actual days from the actual calendar month (likely December),
it's likely a fifth week will be added to one, particular "PPM month" in order to keep the "PPM months" on pace with the actual calendar months
or some other solution will be devised; for example, I couldn't imagine there'd be an "unrated" week as stations and advertisers/agencies would probably howl.

edit: 34james + Michael Hagerty pretty much summed it up in their two posts above my own post which I took too long to type, as usual!
