Cumulus fading

The August ratings show Cumulus fading fast. Pro-fm, the usual leader in the market is sinking (a trend that is apparent with CHR radio); Lite-105 has been passed by B-101 and Coast is not far behind; the bottom has fallen out at Hot 106. Poor management and programming choices are probably impacting the Wampanoag Trail operations. 63 is the only property that is being left unscathed. The cume numbers appear to show that the market's listeners are losing interest with the choices the broadcasting conglomerates offer.

Not exactly true. IHeart stations are picking up the audience that the Cumulus stations are losing.

But still the market leader right now is the Cat. Obviously a lot of people in Providence love country music.

I guess the signal downgrade has not hurt B-101 as much as we thought it would.

No, it is actually doing better, on average, than before the downgrade.
