Kuby teasing "special announcement" on Monday

Ron Kuby says he's working Monday (sans Curtis) and says he'll have, "a special announcement about this great station ... at least special to me."

Labor Day is often a time for programming changes. The most special announcement I can think of for WABC would be the retirement of Don Imus. That would create an opening for the former morning show to slip into that slot.

Pure speculation. Could be something far less significant.
 
Makes sense. I don't know why anyone would have thought his big tease would have been someone else retiring.
