New log from 9/01/2015 - AM - forgot to post

Took me 13 days to remember that I had a new log on September 1st...

1410 - KIIX Fort Collins, CO; brief "KIIX" ID in jumble at 2303 PT 9/01, also heard in the jumble with various classic country songs // playlist. NEW #700! 1KW at 881 miles.
CFTE and KWYO were also in the jumble.

No new logs since then. Hard to get new logs. Nasty RF noise wipes out 530-640 except for SSW direction. Nasty RF on X-Band 75% of the time, especially 1700; nasty RF noise from TVs nearby on 840, nasty RF on 1110 and 1120 most of the time too!
Last night KSLL-1080 Price came in. Classic Rock 105. Relog, but was cheating on day power. Also KBIF-900 Fresno, with ENGLISH programming; oldies music and standards with mentions of local businesses. Maybe a flip from Punjabi/Multicultural? 500 watts.

I hear ya on the RFI. My router's switching power supply puts out AC hash on many freq's below 900 or so. Luckily it is nullable. Still a pain.
 
The Oldies show on KBIF, Fresno, must've been ol' 'Richard The Lion'. He has been buying time, selling spots for his hour long oldies show for 40 years.
 
Ah, I think it was! This was around 12:30AM on a early Sunday morning. At first I thought I was getting some flea-power station from back east. I was thinking "nah, it can't be KSGL or any of the W-call flea power adult standards/oldies stations..." then it ended up being KBIF AGAIN!
I still need KALI West Covina, most-wanted 900. At 700 stations logged, getting new stations is hard work now. Sometimes I wish I was at my relative's property down in Wapato - little to no noise as it is out on a farm. I recall getting KVNS 1700 TX one time right after sunset. WOAI, WBBM, WGN, etc. common out there, and the low noise level probably has something to do with it.

Me too! My home QTH used to be perfectly quiet. And when I'm on the road, even the hotels that used to be decent DX spots now have at least some portions of the band covered by noise. Sheesh!
