New Owner, Old Story

This "news" story seems to be blather. What's the issue here? Someone got offended for being called out? Maybe NPR should pick this up and tell us how a drug dealer's rights are being violated.

Kimberly and Beck. An excellent addition to NewsRadio WHAM! 1180, weeknights 8pm-9pm.

Except it's not "blather" if in fact these two personalities called out the wrong individual. The father is not the son. As the D&C story notes, the father appears to have lived a meritorious life and his place of business has not been connected to illicit activity. Expect an out-of-court settlement.

Once again, you demonstrate why you are the ideal listener for today's talkradio: Either you didn't even bother to read the story for yourself (let Rush tell me what to think!) or you read it and still couldn't comprehend it.

A.) They slandered the father, not the convicted son.
B.) They referenced the father's family run business which had no connection to illegal activity and the son didn't operate.

Nice job! You could be a talkshow host on any one of the many failing talkradio stations around the country!

Ill-informed morons talking to ill-informed morons.

But by all means, invoke NPR again just for your jollies. lol

Where's the audio?

Sure, I read the article. They mentioned the transgender issue, completely unrelated to the point.

We'll be able to put this jumbled up story together when we hear what was actually said.

Well when we have the audio, we can get the full story of what actually happened. And maybe a clue as to where they got their information. It would be interesting if they picked up the story from the D&C.

So, you're saying it's not only OK to slander people, it's OK plagiarize the local newspaper as well?

Don't hold your breath waiting for iHeart to provide audio. The lawsuit includes a transcript of what was said. Too bad for Kimberly and Beck that they took on somebody with enough money to give iHeart a tussle.

Another shining example of Cesspool Radio.
I guess bad publicity is better than none when your industry is
in a death spiral...

There's too much irrelevant information in the D&C story as well as the actual complaint, so I'm skipping down to what was allegedly said on the radio.

I think Jr or Sr, whoever is offended, and I don't really care, should get a grip. Chalk it up to a lesson learned to not go into business with a family member of the same name who's a drug dealer.

Death spiral? Slow grwoth / no growth, maybe.

The father - who was the one who was slandered - ran a business in Rochester and is a well-known philanthropist who has NOTHING to do with his son's misdeeds. You might want to read what was said:

http://www.courthousenews.com/2015/09/18/radio-duo-sued-for-drug-sale-accusations.htm

Completely irresponsible statements about a man who hasn't been charged - let alone convicted - of anything. His son has an obvious problem - but so do Kimberly and Beck. Both appear to be completely irresponsible.
