Adam Longo Heading to WUSA

FTVLive is reporting that Adam Longo is heading to WUSA to replace Derek McGinty as main evening anchor.

So, it seems that Adam's tenure on Wake Up Arizona will be brief. Perhaps that's why they have been focusing so much on Yetta and not on Adam. In addition, the main promo for Wake Up Arizona shows Adam's picture at the very end so it will be easy to edit the promo. :)

Let the speculation begin on Adam's replacement! They could always bring back Paul Horton to mornings and hire a new evening meteorologist (hello, Rich Dahlquist!).

There are so many that have left, it's hard to keep count........
Too bad Fields Mosely didn't stay...... Too bad that Sean
Mclaughlin remains..........

Good luck Adam. Too bad he's leaving so soon. Wanted to see how the CBS5 Morning Team jelled before any changes.

Well, tvspy.com is confirming that Adam Longo is moving to WUSA in Washington, DC. So, I guess Adam will be leaving soon.

As I said in my original post, I believe that Paul Horton would be the perfect fit to take his place in the mornings with Yetta. That would also give CBS5 part of their old morning team back together again.

Today (Sept 21) at the end of WakeUp Arizona, Adam casually mentioned that this was his last week at KPHO. Yetta said they wanted to make a big announcement. Adam didn't say much more and continued with the segment.

There was a nice video saying goodbye to Adam. They showed clips of him as a young reporter doing traffic reports in D.C. Also showed him telling his wife, who is from the D.C. area, that they would be moving back. Adam said he'd be working the Noon news.

Now who's going to replace him? I'd like to see Heidi Goitia do more 'anchoring' and have someone new do traffic.
