Wwnl 1080

WWNL is off this morning Sunday 9/20. I called the local Phone number and got no answer. Anyone have other info?

FYI: I did receive an e-mail from the owner of WWNL offering three of their stations for sale. WWNL was not one of the three.

The transmitter plant Towers transmitter etc, arek 15 years old. They even have a 2500 watt transmitter as a backup as far as I know has never been used. When Mortenson owned the station it was very well maintained. I don't know how well wilkinson is taking care of it. The signal covers 4 States daytime.

15 years as far as transmitters are concerned is relatively new. As for towers, a 15 year old well maintained structure is literally a "baby".

But as to coverage, the 5 mV/m barely covers portions of 6 PA counties, with even a piece of western Allegheny County below that intensity. In today's environment of man-made noise and interference, 5 mV/m is pretty much where any useful listening occurs, with 10 mV/m being the cut-off in dense urban areas.
