93.9 Bryson City NC

Im on vaction in Bryson City NC and I know there not alot of radio stations there but I been picking up 93.9 which is spainish is that from Knoxville TN or Ashville NC?

The Bryson City NC stations I got is

95.7fm
99.9fm-Country
100.3fm-Talk (Knoxville TN)
92.5fm-Country

AM-1050-WFSC
AM-1590-WBHN (I think they are off the air)
AM-540-WRGC

I thought they were still Classic Hits but according to radio-locator they are Spanish now.

I hate to hear that the Bryson City station is back off the air. But from what I have been told it was only a translator for a religious group running another stations programming. I know some people up that way, I'll see what I can find out.

The station is in Decatur, Tennessee outside of Knoxville. I can pick it up in Bryson City NC up in the montians. If u drive down the montians u wont pick it up.

As far as I know, WBHN is on, relaying WKJV, Asheville, NC from 1380. I thought WRGC was off the air!

I was just in the Sylva, NC/ Bryson City area and heard 540 AM loud and proud playing Adult Contemporary, also heard 1590 AM in Bryson City and some station relaying 570 AM WWNC out of
Ashville but can't remember the frequency off hand.

I've been hearing 540 AM in Haywood County for the past two years. I can pick it up when I can't pick up WWNC. WMXF, at 1400, also airs WWNC's programming, but it's not right because Waynesville doesn't have a radio station.

I'd think you'd be more likely to get WMEV, Marion, VA from Bryson City than Chattanooga (though Chattanooga is not out of the question). WMEV is Country and IDs as "93.9, FM 94"

I just came through that part of the country early yesterday (Sunday) morning. I didn't get as far east as Bryson City. I made the trip from Sweetwater, TN down 68 all the way to the Georgia state line. I think I drove that whole distance with my finger on the SCAN button with this wild and wooly idea that I might find something I wanted to listen to. FAT CHANCE. I had looked at Bryson City (from a distance) several years ago because someone whispered in my ear that the AM station there might be something I could buy. After looker at maps and looking and census and commerce charts, I never even went to look.

I side with vchimpanze on this one. I don't see any way signal from Marion VA is going to come in and Chattanooga is not... unless you have a case of some kind of "tunneling" going on.

Yes, now that I check the map, you're right. I do hear WMEV on the way to Asheville from Knoxville but hadn't specifically checked from BC
