101.7 Making The (xmtr) Move

It sounds like 101.7-WBWL has made/is making the antenna move from One Financial Center at South Station, up to Murray St/Girard Rd in North Medford, as the normally ear bleeding strong signal across the street in the General Mail Facilityʼs building interior was poor last night until at least 7:30 this morning, like the FM stations out on the Newton sticks. I was expecting them to switch back to 1FC by 5:30-6:00 for the AMD, thinking they were just testing in the overnight....But they didnʼt.
However, I looked on their FCC file and, lo and behold, they just (today) got ACCEPTED FOR FILING5. Program Test Authority: Station operating pursuant to automatic program test authority”.
So much for listening to The Bull in the downtown offices! P=)
Though, I bet 102.5 will be happy that—downtown—they are about on equal footing now.

It was noted on facebook that WBWL is now
broadcasting in HD.I don't know if they have
an HD2 as I don't have my HD portable with
me at the moment, but apparently an HD1

It does indeed show up only as an HD1 on my portable. I mentioned it on the HD radio facebook group and they said they would add it to their list of area stations. Don't know if they will bother to put an HD2 or 3 on...would they bother to relay
WKOX 1430's talk? The HD page still lists "Mia 1430" as being an HD. WJMN has Bloomberg 1200 as an HD2 and WXKS-FM has Evolution on there.

Yes,and that's good news for listeners of WGAM Manchester
NH at 1250 and WTSN 1270 Dover NH...no splashover.
The HD radio site listing for 1430 not only says they have
HD but still lists the previous format,Mia.
Clear Channel,as it was then known, did put their
conservative talker WXKS 1200 from 2010 to 2012
as an HD2 of WXKS-FM...again no idea if they will
bother to do the same for "Talk 1430" as an HD2 of
WBWL.
