"Brother" Jon River's & Powerline

Anyone know what ever happened to "Brother" Jon Rivers and his religious program "Powerline" out of Texas?
I would listen to his syndicated program on KLIV San Jose (top-40) at the time back in the late 70'. Jon Rivers would
play the days top songs and add an inspirational message to coincide with the song. The last I heard he was on K-LOVE
and left for unspecified reasons. He had a very distinct and great voice.
 
Tom Kent picked up the rights to the "Powerline" name and hired Jon Rivers to host a re-vamped version of the show. It now airs on the Tom Kent Radio Network on weekends (generally Sunday mornings) for five hours and follows a Classic Hits format, with Jon's inspirational conversation interspersed into the show.

As far as I know, he's still doing "20 The Countdown Magazine" however I can't find an affiliate list. It looks like you can hear the show on KYCC in the East Bay or of course on this wonderful thing called the Internet. :)

From what I understand, he left K-LOVE to focus on family and an addiction to prescription drugs. I believe he did a short stint at KLTY in Dallas shortly after his time with K-LOVE.

Correct on reasons for departing K-LOVE. Jon actually helped launch KOJO (now KLTY) back in the mid-80s and was there for a number of years prior to his K-LOVE days.
