Longtime Chicago Personality Bernie Allen passes

Originally on WIND in the 50s and WJJD & WLS in the 60s, long time Chicago DJ Bernie Allen has died.

Sad to hear. By all accounts a true class act off the air as well as on. I met him just once. Early '80s IIRC. He was doing quite a bit of voiceover and narration work (industrial films, etc.) He was very gracious, easy-going,....and with a sense of humor. I also want to say at that time he was doing some work for FM-100. Anyone know if that was true?
