KLOS Appears To Be On An Upswing

Nice to see KLOS generating some positive buzz these days. Heidi & Frank have invigorated the station, new PD Keith Cunningham seems prepared to take some risks by putting shows like Jonesey's Jukebox on the air while Bob Coburn and his Rockline archives pay homage to the station's heritage. It sounds better than it has in years.

My question: does the station even have a chance in light of the parent company's situation?

KLOS is at or a tiny bit below the 25-54 level they have occupied for the last year. There is no upward movement.

I suspect the folks at KLOS are very far removed from their parent company's situation.

The biggest issue they will have to deal with will be the sale of that very worn out and depressing building on La Cienega. It was announced today that the Cumulus cluster in Chicago is moving into the local NBC building. Maybe KLOS will move to Universal Studios. Or Culver City. Lots of options.
