Beaumont has a new FM........or does it ???

Beaumont has a new FM signal licensed to it...99.1 K256CC, but is it?? It was licensed to the old KWIC/KCRM tower that was dismantled 2+ years ago!!! and they are claiming to repeat KODA!!! (over the air of 99.1 on 99.1??? HUH??)...turns out their lawyer is the same one I use...soooooo an email was sent....should prove to be interesting read on the reply.... :rolleyes:

It applied to move down to 255 on the 6th of November. The application also moves it just east of Hamshire.
 
I tried for that 1300 yesterday afternoon from West Houston. Pretty much mush - with KVET slightly on top. Not a trace of an oldie ----

It's non-existent near downtown as well. Farthest east I go is Buc-ee's in Baytown, and I've heard it faintly in the parking lot there, but that's it. Nothing discernable here in Houston, other than KVET.
 
KSET cannot be heard in Houston due to KXYZ and KVET (which booms into Beaumont when KSET is off air)......and the Cowboys would not be on KSET if it could be heard in Houston...Due to the agreement with the Texans.

I'll note that you took the pass on our 99-1/98-9 speculation there, C-Dub. Leaving the kitty squarely tucked away in the bag, or are you just laughing at us for even conceiving such an outlandish proposition?
