Does Univision have a station 101.5 close to Houston? I was driving in 45 close to downtown Houston today. I was flipping channels and noticed BANDA MUSIC on 101.5 FM. Not very strong but I could tell it was Banda, I figured it was KNTE 101.7. But no, I was wrong KNTE was playing some mariachi song. So I turned back to 101.5 and the Banda song was still playing. I then noticed it was that show from 102.9 EL BUENO LA MALA Y EL FEO. Didnt get to listen enough to see if it was 102.9 or another station.

Driving close to downtown this was probably an image from KLTN. The transmitter is very close by.

KOER 101.5 has not signed on yet, although the Rhema website indicates that fundraising is nearly complete. Will have an Urban Gospel format. There is also a CP for KHSX 101.5 on the east side of Houston, which apparently will have a similar format to KOER.

Are we sure this isn't XHAS Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas? I've logged it here before, and it does indeed air Banda Music and sounds quite close musically to our own KLTN. There's not much in the way of XHAS, stopping it from making the fairly long journey to Houston. Just an idea. Can't know for sure since I didn't hear it first hand.

Do they play El Bueno la mala y el feo?

I don't know, Señor, but I bet you David would. A quick search of XHAS on the world wide web didn't yield much information about the AM/FM combo from the border.
