Just checked, and yes 103.3 The App is also on 94.1 KTFM HD2. The App has actually evolved into Top 40 music mixed in with the Alternative - huh???
Wish they would do something about the audio quality on the App though.
The App's playlist reflect similar Alternative formats across the country.
Some might say that right there is the very problem. You all wanted Alternative in San Antone, and you got it. KISS sure isn't hurting as a result of it, though. The Buzz does well here, although it's sounding more and more like Mix 96-5 as the years keep progressing. Think about this, to my 20 year old son, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains is classic rock. That's just scary...
Haven't seen The App crack in to the 12+ yet, wouldn't it report at KTFM-HD2? Not good that it doesn't show after all this time. 105-7 consistently shows every period, and it's stuck with a limited signal too. No excuse for it, The App is on borrowed time.
Not sure how the hell 99.5 has climbed up all of a sudden with its tired out 90's early 00 rock plus 80s crap.
Because San Antonio, as well as most major/mid-sized markets, are not favoring rock music. Which explains why some alternative and most rock stations are flipping to a format radio companies know will pull in ratings and money (like top-40, hip hop, and country) and why people love the same tiring rock songs over and over again. Guess SA loves hearing "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" twice every hour....
The App's app better not go away. It's the only good thing coming from SA radio.
