I-Heart changes ALL four stations:

Not surprised. They were running very low in the ratings. Could they go back to simulcasting KJR 950? Or even KHHO 850? I wonder if it's not even sports they are flipping to anyways.

As far as south sound signals go, 102.9 is by far the cream of the crop. It's the only one in which you could theoretically market to the entire region (as there is no co-channel taking a bite out of the coverage). Whatever they have planned, i'm sure it will have more potential than "Now".

Happened to listen to KYNW while on the way home tonight, and heard an announcement for their listeners to switch to KBKS by noon on Tuesday.

I still say KKMO has nothing to lose with an all Kokomo format.

I think they would be more successful if they marketed the station to it's prime coverage area. If they think they can really compete in Seattle proper, they are disconnected from reality. I happened to like it when they simulated 950 KJR, and was quite disappointed when they split it off. KYNW is not my cup of tea, and is almost a duplicate of KBKS.

If I was running i-Heart Seattle, I'd move KKBW to 102.9 (not going to happen) and make 104.9 a simulcast of 850 KHHO (also not going to happen).

AQH? Could we also, please, have Robin and Maynard do mornings? It would make Seattle radio GREAT AGAIN!

Say no more, I've already got Pat O'Day lined up for afternoons. Every hour, two songs in a row (and that's it).

I see your point. I only brought up the possibility of iheart marketing 102.9 to Seattle because it's the only south sound signal with a strong performance across the entire metropolitan area (without suffering from co-channels or other interference). None of the other south sound signals have that advantage. Whatever they intend to do with it, there is definitely some serious potential (even if they try to take a page out of KYYO and KXXO's book of marketing themselves to the south sound alone). I hope it pays off better than "Now" or "Q-Country" have.

Don't forget Diane Rehm as primary station voice over.

And at night...Relax. With your favorite North Korean Orchestral Pop Music.

With traffic and weather together with Steve Harvey and The Entertainment Report by Amy Goodman.

My God AQH......It's going to be beautiful.

No, how about this?
The format is a 1970s-1980s Classic Rock/Hits format positioned somewhere between KJR and KZOK. The lineup is as follows,
Weekdays 6A-10A, Robin and Maynard.
10A-3P, Hidy May.
3P-7P, JJ Hemingway.
7P-Midnight, Scott Philips.
Overnights and weekends would be some combination of Pat O'Day, Randy Lundquist, Rick Hanson, and classic AT40 from both the 70s and 80s. How's that?

I'd say your sarcasm detector is on the fritz...
