Which Phoenix stations offer brokered programming opportunities? I'm an experienced host and have a new show that I'd like to get off the ground. Any advice and/or input is appreciated.
I'm pretty sure that the reason that KFYI-2 (aka KOY 1230) exists is to clear brokered programming with Premiere shows rounding out the schedule.
Probably so...doesn't cost them much to run it. Given the ludicrous prices some Ancient Modulation stations have sold for recently, Nurse Jeff and I wonder why I ♥ Debt hasn't sold 12~Thirty? Maybe leasing out that tall stick on Buckeye Rd brings in good revenue?
If you're an experienced host, then you should podcast/syndicate for yourself or/and apply directly to a broadcaster. "Pay to play" is as big as scam today as it was during the 70's/80's-era punk music scene, so unless you have some contract or guarantee that it will get you a regular gig on a terrestrial AM/FM, it's a huge waste of money. Particularly when you want to waste that money on an FM that shouldn't even HAVE so much brokered content it will inevitably raise some eyebrows at the FCC.
Start with podcasting, then LP-FM's, then regular AM's and lastly regular FM's.
