Broadcasting legend voicing TV imaging campaign for KUHF

I'm surprised no one has pointed this out, but UH system-owned KUHF has been running new imaging campaign featuring the voice over of Bill Kurtis (WBBM-TV Chicago anchor, Creator and host of "American Justice", "Anchorman" & "Anchorman 2").

It's not terribly surprising since Kurtis took over Karl Kassel's role as the announcer and scorekeeper for NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" after the latter's retirement. So far I've only seen the ads on KHOU, KUHF's media partner.

Can't seem to find the ad online, I checked HoustonPublicMedia's youtube page, and it's not been posted.

Kurtis is probably doing the same thing for other NPR affiliates too.

Jim, nice to hear from you again. Have you heard any update about the sale of KUHA? We're coming up on six months since HPM put it on the market. They originally said that the sale would take that long, but so far not a peep out of anyone.

There you go, Frog. The heck with the bush beating, go straight to the subject at hand. I was wondering the same, as it's been almost too quiet.

Edit to add: I have also been wondering if the Classical will revert back to KUHF as well, going back and forth like it used to do, or if Classical 91-7 will be solely relegated to becoming Classical 88-7 HD2, without an analog home. Has that been addressed as of yet?

I think KUHF will pretty much stay the way it is now, although I wouldn't completely rule out Classical replacing the BBC overnight. I strongly doubt it, and I enjoy having the BBC option locally (even though it is also available online and on SiriusXM.)

It was never made clear if the 91.3 translator is part of the KUHA sale. KUHF could always keep that in order to rebroadcast the Classical HD-2, which it is essentially doing now. Perhaps a transmitter move of a couple of miles could drop a better signal into the upscale inner-city neighborhoods.
