The Water Is Apparently Sweeter In San Antonio

To top that off, here's another translator applying to move to 100-7. This one is 105-5 K288GM Sweetwater (outside of Abilene), owned by E-String Wireless. Applying to move to the northeast quadrant of 1604, relaying KAHL 1310. Guess we've got a little fight on our hands brewing up. Two applicants vying for the same channel on the same day.

Wow E-String owns the recently fined 107.5 in Beaumont... This could get interesting.

Correction, E-String *used to own* 107.5 in Beaumont but they sold it to the guy who owns KCHL, the station the other 100-7 xlator will broadcast.

Yep, Darrell Martin of Martin Broadcasting in Baytown. In addition to owning KCHL SA, he also has KWWJ Baytown, KEES Gladewater, KANI Wharton, KYOK Conroe, and 1330 up in Tyler (the call escapes me right now...) in his portfolio.

That's true.

This translator is also being sold to San Antonio RadioWorks, LLC.
I'm guessing they are trying to build a big translator network to rebroadcast their KAHL 1310 AM. This latest 100-7 edition is fairly close to my north SA location, and the water was actually sweeter in *Live Oak*. ;)

A little more information for those too lazy to look (LOL):
This is a CP, not a license. It expires in April so I expect it to get up and running very soon.

The CP for 100.7 in Live Oak was granted and call letters switched to K264CJ. :)
