Salem Media Signs Larry Elder, Moves Hugh Hewitt Show

This is not the most complete story I have ever read (missing a lot of the 5Ws, as they say), but I gather that Larry was on late nights on Salem's AM 870 and they liked what they heard locally and have now signed him up to air on their network of stations. Hugh Hewitt is moving to mornings.

Interesting. John Ziegler and his old KFI sidekick Leah Brandon are also now KRLA 570 on Sundays - along with some other 22 stations.

It appears that what KABC and KFI let go KRLA grabs - and these are not people without talent or credentials. Hugh Hewitt, BTW, is I believe also ex-KFI many years ago

I am glad to hear the Zig man is back on the air. He IMHO is one of the best conservative broadcasters around. He is the real deal not like the hucksters at that other station!

I believe the morning slot starts at 6a EDT, meaning it would occupy, presumably, the slot currently filled by Bill Bennett.

Thanks, David. The 6am slot here on the West Coast is filled by 'The Morning Answer' (Brian Whitman, Ben Shapiro and Elisha Krauss). If you're correct that the 6am slot will now be filled by Elder, I wonder what will happen to the noted trio...

Dear rosariorose9 - note the extra care I took to reference 6a EDT (not PDT as your comment relates to). And I even suggested who's show might be at risk (Bill Bennett). I do not think our local AM 870 and 590 will displace the local Morning Answer, which is a good and presumably quite successful show. Especially now that Ben Shapiro has left Breitbart, which is is making national news (http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-me...elds-ben-shapiro-resign-from-breitbart-220709)

Bill is not at risk. He left. That's what started all these changes. His final show is April 1.
