The CC/Seattle revolving PD door spins again...

Just a couple months after KUBE became KPWK, KYNW became KFOO, KBKS went Adult Top 40/Hot AC and KKBW became KUBE? I swear CC-Seattle's building is cursed in some way.

...Rich Davis bails from Seattle for the CC cluster in Minneapolis.

He left to go home. Whether the awful early returns of the changes have anything to do with it remains to be seen.

If by "cursed," you mean "using flawed logic," then you're probably right.

All Access reports that Rich Moore has been promoted to oversee all the Seattle stations. http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/a...tmedia-seattle-ups-rich-moore-to-svp-programm
Sounds like Rich gets to run eight radio stations.
My assumption is that Rich Davis will probably get to run that many in Minnesota as well but that is strictly a guess. I know both of these guys are hard workers and good programmers but how many stations can one dude cover?
I may be wrong as I have not been in the I Heart building for quite awhile but I think the Seattle cluster is now down to a GM and Rich Moore to run the entire shebang.

Are you familiar with the phrase "too many chefs?" That usually doesn't lead to a flavorful stew. You only need one boss.

Tell me the names of the current program directors at 93.3, 102.9, 104.9 and 106.1.

I wonder if they made him work for half of what the previous occupant of the position got paid??? Now that would be some instant karma.

A serious question: What might the actual staff level be at iHeart Seattle be, including all full-time management, on-air, office, sales, engineering?

In a way I almost feel sorry for Rich Moore. He's been a KJR lifer - the very kind of employee iHM loves to promote then kick to the curb when things don't work out (e.g. Eric Powers).

I'd say 50 would be a fair number, including part-timers. Not including OOM VTers.

Regardless of how many managers there are at iHeart, they seem to be beating the fully-staffed CBS cluster. So maybe staffing isn't really the problem at iHeart.

Maybe spending more time focused on your sticks and managing them than posting here would serve some folks better. It's not the number of people but the quality of people and the talent, passion, and heart they have and bring to the table. Willing to bet it's a lean staff there at 645 but sounds like they got a good team and some bright folks. Rich Davis came in and did a heck of a job. A job that was not easy. Taking two brands and separating them creating two distinct stations. Flipping like 4 or 5 stations at one time in a major market like Seattle is not an easy task and seeing how others have flipped recently and in the past Davis and his team did an amazing job. Add in the fact that KJR AM has and continues to hold their own and let us not forget that it was also on his watch that 95.7 The Jet took flight and reached amazing ratings success. Willing to bet "Moore" exciting things will continue to unfold for the folks at iHeart Seattle.

Another PD spot filled - Ben Marcotte gets the transfer West from iHM/Spokane to KFOO PD.

Hey, at least they're putting in individual PDs - they could just throw all the programming duties on Moore's shoulders.

If I spent any more time focused on my stick they'd have to lock me up. Probably should anyway, just to be safe.

Hey, anybody who'd rather continue posting on here than work/manage your stick(s) can continue to do so. Please PM me and I will babysit them/run them into the ground for you while you argue with a half dozen of the Northwest's finest radio geeks over the staffing levels and efficiency of the competition.

Oy vey...
