CBS to sell all its radio stations - Seattle impact?

Rumor has it that Infinity Radio is coming back for the 2nd time, maybe the 3rd?

Wherever you heard that rumor, it is ill-informed.

While CBS radio, spun off, can call itself whatever it wants, it will still be CBS radio's assets and infrastructure and stations.

IIRC Infinity Broadcasting never was this big. They were merged into CBS before deregulation. They actually had to sell off some stations in order to merge. As I recall, CBS Seattle wasn't part of Infinity.

That last part makes no sense. When someone writes a large enough check, everything becomes property of the new owner.

CBS Radio briefly brought back the name "Infinity Broadcasting" in the early 2000's. Before selling off a handful of stations in '06 and '07, I can remember hearing, "KMXV Kansas City, a division of Infinity Broadcasting."
