The British Invasion ;)

British DJ Ian Camfield joins ALT AZ 93.3 for mornings.
Hopefully, he brings some new music with him...

And hopefully 93.3 will get more of a pulse (as in a live person) soon, because the whole "Let's-Program-ALT-AZ-Like-We're-Siri" thing is getting really old really quick. Unfortunately for 93.3, they're literally next door to 93.9 -- which still has way more newer music in rotation. And there's nothing "alt" about playing OLD 80's/90's tracks that belong on KOOL or/and KSLX. The more I hear "alt" 93.3, the more I'm convinced they should have kept KDKB's original format instead of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Somebody tell I'm wrong.

Unfortunately, a DJ is only as good as the MD and PD allows them to be. When it comes to Alt stations, I switch between 93.9 and 91X in San Diego. Granted 91X seems to play some songs with heavy rotation, but the station has a better production sound to them. And the DJs don't seem to annoy me as much.

A few weeks in ... he's got a nice flow and sound to his morning show, but feels like he's doing a lot of heavy lifting keeping the show going solo.

It would be great if he could get a side kick to bounce off of. But at a Hubbard station.... ehhh.
