The announcement was that UofL signed another contract with iHeart, instead of going to 93.9 the Ville like I thought they were.

I don't know. The scuttlebutt around the water cooler was that Jurich personally backed 93.9 the Ville and wanted to dump iHeart.

QMF used to have those "block party" weekends, you'd hear like 5 songs from a group and sometimes it was stuff you never hear regularly. What is strange to me is that SFR has had the same small playlist for about 20 years and people think they sound fresh. QMF plays too much Guns and Roses and Poison, etc all that motorcycle cowboy nonsense.

Agreed 100% on all points. SFR did actually add to their playlist, right after the switch to "The Eagle" name. They added STP, Nirvana, etc. I guess their ratings took a hit, because they dropped all of those groups and went back to the 20 year old stale playlist.

I am surprised at them going alternative. The fox tried that and went back to rock. I love the alt format but louisville would seem to want to here the latest offering from avengeseven fold instead of death cab for cutie. Wonder why the change? Billing must not be great. Hmmmm
