What happened on 106.7 today.

I just caught the end of the Kimmer Show and he was really talking bad about M.G.'s ratings. Did Michael and Kimmer have a blow up? It seems the only compelling programming on 106.7 was when I was in the "digital Salt mine" and couldn't listen.

This doesn't answer the question, but I want to comment on the Kimmer Show, in particular the Newsmaker Line.

Jim Gossett is very talented and can be extremely funny. But, and I don't know Gossett or Kimmer, Gossett sounds like he can be vindictive.

Satirizing the competition is fine, and Gossett's Herman Cain imitation with Cain's "News Nuggets" is funny. But he seems to hold a grudge against several people at WSB, and he inserts their names in sentences that are nasty but have no real relevance to anything about them. I kind of wish he would stick to the funny satire and not use his bits as vehicles for getting back at WSB's people.

The Kimmer teased with some comment about a guy named Randall (Bloomquist?) being in the middle of it all. Was he the guy who cleaned out all the talent (including the Kimmer) at WGST when he was at iHeartClearChannelRadio?

Apparently--and the Kimmer could have been leading with what he himself calls a "booger show" where there's lots of smoke but no fire--MG ran a spoof Charter mental hospital ad calling Kim a drug-addicted, PTSD vet.

Yes, with "if you don't get help at Charter, please, get help somewhere". Charter declared BK 16 years ago.

C'mon. Kimmer's been grinding an ax over Cox and Wisbee for almost a quarter-century. Literally.
