Michael Graham leaving NewsRadio 106.7

You seem to imply that because Houston stayed at a 1 share for four years, Atlanta would.

No, I just have no reason to believe that giving all news more time in Atlanta would have changed the results. If you know of a station that recently changed to all news that is getting good numbers, let me know.

A unique format that wasn't attracting an audience [in Atlanta].

The point is that no new all-news station has succeeded in any market ??????

WCBS, WBBM, KYW, KNX WINS, XTRA …

Do you really mean NO all-news station in any market has been successful, i.e. their billings have supported them, and their ratings were not in the basement in the last 10 years? I don't believe it. They may not have been the No. ! stations but there must be some that are doing well enough.

You seem to be saying that only established, legacy, all-news stations are viable, and that no one anywhere has been successful with the format since 2006.

And I again understand you have a strong distaste for the format but I think there may be some distortion of the facts.

And remember in 1972-1973 Atlanta had an all news station, WYZE, but it was daytime only and couldnot have been expected to survive.

WGST flipped to all-news around 1977. And don't forget WCNN carrying the Headline News audio feed, after flipping from Ring Radio in the early 80s.

You chopped off the end of my sentence. Why did you do that?

Here is my complete sentence:

The point is that no new all-news station has succeeded in any market where it's been tried in the last ten years, regardless of the situation.

No NEW all-news station IN THE LAST TEN YEARS!!!!! A NEW station.

When did your list of heritage all news stations start? In the last ten years? No

Stop distorting what I say to suit your purposes. I do not have a distaste for the format. Stop saying that.

I'm talking about NOW in 2016, not in 1972-73. Or in the 80s. NOW!
