How did Atlanta radio cover the Orlando attack?

(Surprised some form of this hasn't been brought up here already. Maybe that is a question in itself - why don't we talk about how Atlanta covers major events like we used to?)

So how did Atlanta stations do covering the attack in Orlando. I saw a internet report about 9 a.m. Sunday when the count was still 20. Then about 11:30 I was on the road headed out of town and WSB was in wall-to-wall mode with Bill Caiaccio, I think, and the count had jumped to 50. I don't know how long they had been in that mode.

Did any other station go full news - WGST, WYAY, or any of the public radio stations?

I am surprised that WSB went wall to wall news on a non Atlanta story. I am not discounting the tragedy but plane crashes have killed more folks and they didn't go wall to wall, even when the flight was to stop in Atlanta. Having a Cox O & O close by did provide extra material and info. I doubt if any other station in the market had the staff on Sunday AM to a lot of extra coverage.

I'm not surprised because the event brought out so many political issues--gun control, terrorism, hate crimes.

Yeah - WSB prides itself on local, regional, national and international coverage. I remember when Paris happened, they were wall to wall then working with partners from CBS news. Having the ability to dip into their radio and tv partners in Orlando was also an added bonus but even if that wasn't available, it would be CBS News they would be basically simulcasting.
