Not really. WLWT was the flagship station of that carried all of the televised baseball games of the Cincinnati Reds baseball network back then.

I've kind of realized that back in the pre-syndex and RSN era, stations were more likely to be seen outside of their market if they had sports. Many areas that are between markets (i.e. areas in which at least one neighboring county is in a different market) still have multiple CBS and NBC affiliates as in the early days of cable, CBS had the NFC games while NBC had the AFC games.
