New Station on 92.5 FM

Programming is Classic Hits. No call sign. Solid coverage inside the Loop.

Could it be the lower power station doing testing??

Translators testing must retransmit the parent station..they cannot originate (EXCEPT for 30 or 60 secs per hour local inserted spots)....so who are they retransmitting? Any callsign heard?? if not, consider it a pirate and illegal

An equipment test can pretty much run anything, except commercials.

It's the translator testing, don't know why they stopped testing with Aleluya.

They may be working on the STL and in the meantime using a local music playlist to test the rest of the system.

Where inside the loop? If southside of downtown, that means its running illegal....its only licensed for 19watts ERP.....the 60dbU contour map shows just barely cover the northside I45-610 interchange and maybe 2-3 miles either side.....

But not surprised......and thats all I got to say about that

Well fishy or not I'm not mentioning the name. Following moderators request on this forum.

Some of us try to follow rules.

If that's the case, what about ______ on 87.7 in Beaumont, transmitting an analog FM aural signal, when they are licensed as a Digital LPTV station? Following the rules? They clearly identify as _____-DT on their FM analog frequency, and the D stands for digital.

I find it difficult to suspend disbelief that a moderator would specifically require that you obscure the meaning of your posts.

Once the station went dark, I started receiving another station which sounded like the same station I regularly listen to in Beaumont. But, Southwest Houston is clearly outside the 60 dBu contour for this station. Therefore, does this mean that the station is "running illegal?"

If so, it's certainly not the first one in Beaumont doing so.

I have removed some political posts which have absolutely nothing to do with the title of this thread.

I'm following Radiodiscussions moderator rules. And he asked us not to mention certain people and I'm doing just that. And don't inbox me about it cause I'm not saying anymore

Its not Jack AM is it?? LOL

I think it is Centro Cristiano De Vida Eterna's K223CW translator moved from George west TX, operating under construction permit on 250 ft tower near North line shopping center retransmitting channel 38.9 - - - FM, running antenna pattern tests according to - - -. KWUP / KSBJ Navasota 92.5 conflicts with it and may generate complaints from 92.5 KSBJ listeners in the north part of the county, translator's play second fiddle to full power FMs even out side the local contour and must make changes to protect full power station listeners. as previous post by David illustrated where a translator was ordered shut down by the FCC when a group of long time listeners complained who were way out side the local contour.
