I love listening to iHeart 80's at 103.7

The reception goes as far as Fairfield on my Sony Walkman

How's the reception before 103.5 Sacramento came on in 1996?
 
This is done from memory of a trip I took out there almost 25 years ago. I think it was 103.7, which was at that time an oldies station. I was on a business trip to Santa Cruz, where 103.7 came in very well. But I also went to visit a friend in Santa Cruz. I drove on highway 17 which went over the mountain, and remember at the very top, it abruptly changed from 103.7 from SF to another 103.7, which I think was Fresno. It was very repeatable, because I made the drive twice. Both times, both directions, within a narrow pass at the top, maybe one or two swaps, then either one or the other. I know that drive is in a different direction than you are asking about, but it was very interesting to somebody from a flat area.
