The ADX translator in Milton

I think we've been following this translator's life piecemeal across various other threads, so I wanted to create a new one to keep any future changes in one place.

As of this date, the translator in question, W290DC, is supposedly on 105.3 with a blistering 1 watt of power from a water tower in Milton, relaying WYCT. The just filed a new application to move it up to 250 watts at 94.5 MHz, still relaying WYCT.

I have a feeling this is going to be the planned permanent home of the signal, but who knows if they'll try to move it further into Pensacola or not. I'm sure they will. The new app lists a cell tower on Hamilton Bridge Road west of Milton, so there's some movement planned.

Unless ADX uses it to extend the coverage of WNRP into Milton or sells it to WEBY, that translator is moving to Pensacola.

The FCC has cracked down on standard translator hops. Minimum approval time is now 6 months. Hops for the AM revitalization program has been quick.
