If I had to pick one 'Boss' working in L.A. Radio who was simply the best to work for, Mike Callaghan had to be that man! He rescued me from mailing Dimes to Pacific & Nevada Bell Customers who lost money at a payphone, and paid me big money ($5) in 1983 to become their 6th fulltime engineer. Even though I wasn't covered under their IBEW contract, It was fun and exciting work as KIIS was #1 in the Country. I would have paid him to work there and I thank you Mike for giving me the opportunity to work on your staff. We lost Mike on Sunday

Mike was a much respected legend in broadcast engineering circles and will be greatly missed.
