Philadelphia Radio Ratings: November 2016

This may not belong here, but i'm asking, as I've had many medical issues in the past year and I haven't listened to fm radio since. Here's the question, I see that Boom 107.9 has dropped to a 1.1, and their homepage lists 5 songs from their current playlist, including 3 songs with expletives and 1 rap title. Is this why the ratings have dropped or is this an attempt at a format change because the boom experiment failed?

I'd suggest the latter. Several Booms around the country have met a similar fate. Since you asked, I'd also suggest the reason it failed was due to poor format maintenance. Running an old school format takes a lot of work, and I don't think they put the time in on this one. They may have felt they could ride the wave a while, and you really can't with any format.
