KOKT-LP 104.1 Tulsa

Has anybody been listening to 104.1 KOKT-LP FM in Tulsa? The signal is fairly strong from BA to NE Tulsa (my home and work respectively). I only started listening to them recently and they are broadcasting Christmas music (their normal format is supposed to be classic rock). I like their selection, it's not just the normal Xmas programming heard on local stations in past years. I haven't heard a repeat yet.

I noticed on radio-locator.com that the broadcast site appears to be out of someone's house! It's near 51st and Memorial. I'll have to drive by sometime to check out the antenna being used.

This has been an interesting radio station. They play quite a bit of music (they are commercial-free), however, their antenna is incredibly weak. At home (North Broken Arrow) this is mostly static. I have a difficult time picking up this station clear at all. It has been frustrating to say the least. I work just a few miles from where you say this is registered to and still get mostly static.

It is interesting that it is commercial free. Perhaps they should tweak that business model and take a sponsor or two and upgrade their antenna.

So I just did a quick search on radio-locator.com and found out that this station broadcast is a whopping 52 Watts (I think my microwave uses more Watts than that), when in comparison, KRMG is at 50,000 Watts...mystery of the static solved!
