FCC Lame Duck

The FCC mandated on screen text for the deaf in all TVs. They can mandate anything they want. All they need is Congress to back them up. Now we are stuck with TVs that have it on by default and we have to find a way to turn the stupid text OFF. They are good at regulations that don't make sense. They can mandate mercury containing, RFI producing CFL light bulbs that don't save that much energy - instead of LED light bulbs that really do save energy and don't pollute. They can mandate 1.6 gallon toilets that you have to flush 2 or 3 times instead of 5 gallon toilets you flush once. So if they say "put AM on all radios", "Put C-Quam on all radios", "put HD on all radios" - it will happen.
