Chaz and A.J. back to WPLR-FM only?

I know I heard Chaz of the Chaz and A.J. Morning Show mention around 6:40 AM, Friday December 16th, that their show was going back to being on just WPLR-FM 99.1 New Haven starting Monday.

Usually they take the last 2 weeks of the year off and the fill-in host is just on WPLR. Someone else is on 102.9 - sometimes it's Rob Ray.

From what it sounded like with Chaz, he implied that the show was done for Hartford and Norwalk and it would be back to just New Haven.

I checked this morning. Ed Sabatino (think that's who it was?) was running the board for WDRC-FM. Chaz and A.J. were still on WPLR-FM 99.1 like usual. I can't get the Norwalk station in New Britain, however.

I've always thought Whale needed its own morning show. Whale is more of a traditional classic rocker than PLR is, with greater focus on the '60s and '70s and fewer '80s and '90s tracks than PLR regularly plays. (I'm not sure Whale is playing any '90s yet, actually.) So there were songs being played in the morning on 102.9 that weren't on the station's playlist the rest of the day.

I thought something was strange last week: One little spot between songs on WDRC-FM 102.9 said something along the lines of "Not Springfield! Not New Haven! HARTFORD'S only classic rock!" Why would they rip on sister station WPLR-FM 99.1 for?

80's and 90's is considered classic now. Yes we are getting old. But PLR does seem to be playing some 2000's stuff now.

I see Picozzi is back in the mornings now. Miss Klonk now does the 10 at 10 show in the AM. The sponsor of the previous commercial free 10 to Noon now sponsors her show (but ads run during it).

If "Big" Ed Eddie Sab Sabatino was running the board, let's hope he didn't crack the mic & say something
